|6:00 PM - 8:00 PM|
Illinois Valley Community College is offering a Welcome Night at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 in Room C 316 to assist students considering enrolling for the spring semester starting in January.
Representatives from admissions, financial aid, veteran’s services, placement testing and student services will be on hand to provide information necessary to get started and attendees will be able to make placement testing and counseling appointments.
Staff will be available to assist students with filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and to answer questions about getting started. Reservations are not required but students can call (815) 224-0439 with questions or to reserve a spot.
“We have designed this event to bring a variety of services into one location to assist students who are considering going back to school. Starting or coming back to college can be intimidating so we want to assist new students with navigating the path to their new career,” said Tracy Morris, Associate Vice President for Student Services.
Assistance will be available for Spanish speaking parents.
